50 cent settles lawsuit
HARTFORD (Connecticut) - RAPPER 50 Cent has settled his lawsuit against an engineering firm over repairs and renovations to a Connecticut mansion he bought from Mike Tyson.

Linda Cohn, a deputy chief clerk at Hartford Superior Court, confirmed the settlement on Friday.

Details are not immediately available.

The rapper testified this week that he never would have bought the 4,500-square meter home had he known it would require millions of dollars in repairs and renovations.

50 Cent hired BVH Integrated Services to inspect the mansion in 2003 before he bought it.

Its estimate for upgrades was about US$500,000 (S$750,000).

The rapper says he spent US$6 million.

BVH denies wrongdoing.

Messages were left for lawyers for the entertainer and the company. -- AP
