White Stripes to play again
| NEW YORK - FOR the first time since they cancelled their UK tour in 2007, rock group White Stripes will play live again.
According to a BBC report, Jack and Meg White will perform on the NBC talk show Late Night With Conan O'Brien on Feb 20. Drummer Meg White caused the bank to cancel shows after it was announced she was suffering from acute anxiety. Jack White, the group's singer suffered vocal chord problems in 2006 when the band also cancelled a number of performances in Japan. The two were last seen in public last year when Meg ran onto the stage during Jack's gig with his side project, The Raconteurs, however she did not perform. White Stripes achieved commercial success with their fourth album Elephant in 2003, topping the UK charts and producing their breakthrough hit, Seven Nation Army. -- BBC | |
