Progress Singapore Party (PSP) member Ravi Philemon has resigned from the party. He did not provide a reason, but the 52-year-old was said to be unhappy with the party's handling of a video that accused him of being funded by foreign sources.

He told The Straits Times yesterday evening that he had resigned on Tuesday. "It's been two days since I resigned, and I definitely am thinking of my next steps. I will definitely still be engaged in the public life of Singapore. I have contributed since at least 2008 in both civil society as well as in politics, so I will continue to do so," said the managing partner of a media company.
