SINGAPORE - Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has posted photos of the last Cabinet meeting he had with his ministers on his Facebook page.

He and his ministers held their last meeting on Wednesday (Sept 30). Appointments for the new Cabinet will take effect on Thursday (Oct 1).

" Held a last meeting with the old Cabinet today. We thanked Lui Tuck Yew, Lee Yi Shyan and Hawazi Daipi, who will be stepping down tomorrow, for their many contributions," Mr Lee said.

"Tomorrow a new Cabinet will take office. Will continue to work hard with the new team for a better future for Singapore," he wrote.

Minister for Social and Family Development Tan Chuan-Jin also put up a post on the meeting on his Facebook page.

"Our last Cabinet seating just before swearing in of the new Cabinet tomorrow. Thanks especially to Lui Tuck Yew for your friendship and leadership," he wrote.

"It's been a meaningful experience with the team and we all look forward to a better tomorrow. With You, For You, For Singapore."

Mr Lui, who was Transport Minister, resigned just before the 2015 General Election. Mr Khaw Boon Wan, who was helming the Ministry of National Development, will be sworn in as the new Transport Minister on Thursday.

Senior Minister of State for Trade and Industry, and National Development Mr Lee Yi Shyan, has chosen to return to the backbenches after suffering a minor stroke in May.
