GE2015: Police issue traffic and security advisory for Nomination Day

SINGAPORE - The Singapore Police Force (SPF) has issued a reminder for candidates to arrive early at the respective nomination centres on Nomination Day (Sept 1).

Nomination proceedings will begin from 11am, and parking is prohibited at all nine nomination centres.

SPF will also step up deployment and conduct security checks in and around the centres.

It advised supporters and members of the public to turn up at the centres after 10am, and not to bring along items such as sharp objects, flammable liquids or gas, bulky items and big bags.

No placards, flags or banners of any candidates can be displayed by members of the public. The flying of drones over or into the centres is also not allowed.
