SINGAPORE - The frenzy of activity on Nomination Day (Sept 1) was matched by a flurry of posts online, in a clear sign that politicians have wised up to the power of social media since the last election.

From photographs of their enthusiastic supporters to intimate posts about their friends and family, here's what some of the candidates shared before and after nomination:
