Depressed? It's never too late to seek help

When I was 15, a schoolmate jumped from the seventh floor of a block of flats opposite our school and died. I was in school when it happened, and I distinctly remember hearing a loud thud, which I dismissed as the sound from a construction site.

On my way home, I walked past the site, where a group of women had gathered around the police tape and were speaking in low voices.
