Greece, euro zone creditors reach accord on loan

Euro zone finance ministers agreed in principle on Friday to extend heavily indebted Greece's financial rescue by four months, averting a potential cash crunch in March that could have forced the country out of the currency area.

The deal, to be ratified once Greece's creditors are satisfied with a list of reforms it will submit next week, ended weeks of uncertainty since the election of a radical leftist-led government in Athens pledged to reverse austerity measures.

The agreement, clinched after the third ministerial meeting in two weeks of acrimonious public exchanges, offers a breathing space for the new Greek government to try to negotiate longer-term debt relief with its official creditors.

Hundreds attend funeral of Copenhagen gunman

Hundreds of people on Friday attended the Islamic burial of the gunman who killed two people in twin shootings in Copenhagen last weekend.

Omar Abdel Hamid El-Hussein, 22, was placed in an unmarked grave in the Muslim cemetery in Broendby, on the outskirts of Copenhagen, watched by around 500 people, mostly young men wearing thick black jackets against the cold and rain, an AFP reporter said.

El-Hussein, a Danish citizen of Palestinian origin, has been identified by police as the gunman who shot dead two people - a filmmaker and a volunteer Jewish security guard - in the Danish capital last weekend.

Nigerian woman says she was gang-raped in Indian capital

Police in Delhi arrested four men on Friday in connection with the alleged gang-rape of a Nigerian woman in a moving car, the latest in a series of sex attacks in the Indian capital.

The 35-year-old, who has been staying in India on a tourist visa, told police the men kidnapped her after midnight on Friday morning outside a popular shopping mall in New Delhi's Saket area before bundling her into a car.

They then drove for around half an hour, during which time the alleged gang-rape took place, before pushing her out of the vehicle.

British police launch appeal to find 'Syria-bound' schoolgirls

British police launched an appeal on Friday to trace three London schoolgirls who are believed to be making their way to Syria, having flown to Turkey earlier this week.

The three friends, two aged 15 and one 16, left their east London homes on Tuesday and travelled to Gatwick airport where they caught a Turkish Airlines flight to Istanbul without telling their families.

Police said they were working with Turkish authorities to try to find the girls and bring them home.

Football: Chelsea suspend two more fans in Paris racism probe

Chelsea announced they had suspended two more people from the club's Stamford Bridge stadium on Friday as their investigation into the Paris Metro racism incident gathered pace.

A commuter, described in media reports as French-Mauritanian Souleymane S, was blocked from boarding a train by fans travelling to the Parc des Princes for the 1-1 draw against Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League on Tuesday.

The west London club had already suspended three men and on Friday they revealed two more people would be barred, with the potential for life bans.
