CAIRO (AFP) - Two Egyptian policemen were wounded when attackers threw a homemade bomb at their checkpoint in central Cairo on Tuesday, security officials said.

Egypt has been rocked by a series of bombings and shootings carried out by militants since the military ousted Islamist president Mohamed Morsi in July.
