Russia's Putin says seven-day Ukraine ceasefire 'clearly too short'

VIENNA (AFP) - A seven-day ceasefire in Ukraine that ends on Friday is clearly too short to solve the crisis, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday.

"We believe that seven days of ceasefire is too short a deadline," Putin said in Vienna, adding that stopping violence must be accompanied by "substantive" efforts towards peace.
