Toronto mayor Ford ready to take a break and 'get help': Report

TORONTO (Reuters) - Toronto Mayor Rob Ford, who gained global notoriety after admitting to smoking crack cocaine, said he is ready to take a break from his re-election campaign and "get help", the Toronto Sun reported on Wednesday.

Mr Ford's office and lawyer could not immediately be reach to comment on the report.

The newspaper said Mr Ford's decision comes after it obtained a new audio recording of Mr Ford ranting and swearing in a Toronto area bar.

Mr Ford said he wants to "deal with his issues" but is being urged to not leave the mayoral race by people around him and plans to stay on the ballot, the story says.
