Hamster Cup Episode 6: Brazil vs Germany

Published on Jul 7, 2014 8:28 PM

Rodent athletes Tiki and Taka are all ready to go head-to-head to predict the semi-final matches of the World Cup 2014 in Brazil.

The furry duo march into the Stadio Straits Times with a proud record of an 80 per cent hit rate, which is pretty impressive for creatures who don't even know how to pronounce the words "Robben" or "diving".

The hamsters had gone on a four-match streak of spot-on predictions, with a fifth one being thwarted by the German defeat of France in the quarter-finals.

In the first crucial semi-final fixture, Taka will be representing Neymar-less hosts Brazil, taking on tournament favourites Germany represented by Tiki.

Should Taka emerge victorious, the Samba boys would be one step closer to lifting the trophy in front of their home crowd.

On the other hand, a German triumph would bring Mesut Ozil and company on track to becoming the first European nation to lift the World Cup trophy on South American soil.

So will Tiki and Taka make the right prediction? Who will earn the right to step out onto the pitch for the final at Maracana on July 13?

Watch the video and find out.
