The Women's Tennis Association (WTA) and OCBC Bank marked the 100-day countdown to the BNP WTA Finals Singapore on Wednesday, unveiling a countdown clock in the form of a giant tennis clock at the OCBC Centre. OCBC is the official card partner of the event, which is presented by SC Global.

The prestigious year-end championships is taking place at the Singapore Sports Hub from Oct 17-26 and will feature the season's top players from the women's Tour.

To celebrate the milestone and in a bid to foster love for the sport, 100 tickets to the event were also given to students from Yu Neng Primary school.

Said Andrew Georgiou, chief executive of event promoters World Sport Group: "The ticket giveaway to Yu Neng Primary School is a great way to mark the start of the countdown, as it captures what we want to be able to achieve with this event - bringing tennis to all Singaporeans."
