Tennis: Navratilova to feature in WTA Legends event in Singapore

Martina Navratilova has been announced as the first entry in the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) Legends event to be held in Singapore in October.
The event is being held in conjunction with the season-ending BNP Paribas WTA Finals, which the Republic is hosting for the first time.
The 57-year-old International Tennis Hall of Famer retired in 2006 after a glittering career that produced 59 Grand Slam titles - 18 singles, 31 women's doubles, 10 mixed doubles.
In addition to participating in the Legends event, the American will also be involved in community youth programmes, share her extensive tennis knowledge with coaches from the region and participate in fan promotions and corporate partner programmes.
