School Sports: Outram, Xinmin shine at the sport climbing championships

The 8th National Schools Sport Climbing Championships saw Outram Secondary School and Xinmin Secondary School sharing the spoils in the B and C Divisions on Saturday at The Cliff@Snow City.

Outram took both the B and C Division overall girls' titles, while Xinmin claimed the two overall boys' crowns.

The A Division saw strong competition between Serangoon Junior College and Victoria Junior College, but Serangoon eventually came up top by taking both the boys' and girls' titles.

Elsewhere in the Varsity Division, Temasek Polytechnic completed a sweep of the titles, helped by 2011 SEA Games Bronze medallist Janice Ng who also took both the lead and speed category titles.

The championships attracted a total of 312 participants from 26 schools.
