Hwa Chong Institution's 4x400m relay team gave their all in their last race together today to help their school bag their first Schools National track and field championships A Division double triumph in three years.

Entering the relay finals with a four-point lead over Raffles Institution, all the quartet needed was a third-place finish to secure the boys' title.

They ended up second which meant Hwa Chong edged out defending champions RI by two points - to add to their A Division girls' crown.

Hwa Chong also won the C Division boys' title while Singapore Sports School took the B Division boys' crown.

Cedar Girls Secondary School triumphed over defending champions Singapore Sports School to bag the B Division girls' title and successfully defended their C Division girls' crown.
