School Sports: Fairfield see off ACS (I) to retain squash B Division title

Fairfield Methodist School Secondary (FMSS) retained their B Division squash title on Thursday, with a 4-1 win over Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) at the Kallang Squash Centre.

ACS (I) had won when the two schools met in the 2012 final. But this time, FMSS managed to fend them off after beating Raffles Institution for last year's title.

Said coach Vicki He: "This is a batch of boys who are talented and committed. They trained very hard, over and above school trainings, and took part in tournaments outside of school."

Added captain Kojiro Tan, 16: "We became very close as a team in Secondary 1, so during training we would encourage one another and I think that was a key point in our bonding."
