SINGAPORE - The Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC) on Friday inked an agreement with Sunrise & Company, extending its 42-year partnership with the local Yonex distributor.

The partnership will see Sunrise continue to kit Team Singapore athletes and officials heading to major Games with Yonex-branded apparel from the 2015 SEA Games to 2020 Olympic Games.

The signing ceremony, held at the Singapore Sports Hub's Black Box Auditorium, was witnessed by Minister for Manpower and SNOC president Tan Chuan-Jin, International Olympic Committee Member and SNOC Marketing Committee Chairman, Mr Ng Ser Miang, among other guests.

Under the deal, Sunrise will provide apparel for Singapore athletes and officials bound for major Games from 2015 to 2020. This includes the 2015, 2017 and 2019 SEA Games, 2016 and 2020 Olympic Games, 2018 Youth Olympic Games, 2018 Asian Games and 2018 Commonwealth Games, among other events.

In addition to track suits, Sunrise will also supply Singapore athletes and officials with Yonex polo T-shirts, shorts, thermal gear, luggage gear, head wear, water bottles and outer-wear for aquatic sports.

Said Mr Seth: "It gives us great pride for us to extend Yonex's four decades-old partnership with the SNOC. This means Team Singapore will be wearing Yonex-branded apparel at all major international Games for another six years, beginning with the upcoming 2015 SEA Games at home and culminating at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games."
