At least one Singaporean will feature in the final of the International Table Tennis Federation Korea Open, after both Feng Tianwei and Yu Mengyu earned a spot in the semi-finals.
An all-Singapore final, however, will not be possible as the paddlers will be facing each other in the last four in Incheon.
Feng, the world No. 4, outlasted China's No. 96 Wang Manyu 11-4, 11-5, 7-11, 11-9, 6-11, 6-11, 11-6. Team-mate Yu (No. 12) also swept aside Chinese opposition by taking out an unranked Chen Ke 6-11,11-9,7-11,11-6,7-11.
The same Chinese pair, however, turned the tables on the Singaporeans in the doubles event, with Feng and Yu losing 6-11, 11-9, 7-11, 11-6, 7-11.
