Table Tennis: Feng Tianwei in back-to-back title wins after Australian Open triumph

Feng Tianwei lived up to her billing as top seed at the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) Australia Open on Sunday afternoon, beating Japan's Misaki Morizono in the women's singles final.

The world No. 5 Singaporean trounced her No. 35 opponent 11-5, 12-10, 11-9, 11-4, making it back-to-back titles after winning the Philippines Open last week. Both events are third-tier Challenge events on the ITTF World Tour.

Her results capped a successful outing in Sydney for the Republic's paddlers. In the men's singles, Wu Zhikang and Zhan Jian made it a one-two podium finish for Singapore. Wu, the world No. 132, upset his No. 41 team-mate 11-6, 11-6, 11-9, 7-11, 11-8.

Zhan also teamed up with Yang Zi in the men's doubles to finish second, losing 5-11, 9-11, 7-11 to Hong Kong's Tang Peng and Wong Chun Ting.
