SINGAPORE - Several SEA Games gold medallists will be taking part in the TYR 2nd South-east Asian Swimming Championships presented by Yakult, as the Singapore Swimming Association (SSA) announced on Thursday the list of athletes from the seven participating countries set to feature.

The event will take place at the newly completed OCBC Aquatic Centre at the Singapore Sports Hub, from June 14 to 24, and will feature over 200 participants across diving, swimming, synchronised swimming and water polo.

Athletes from Singapore will be joined by Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, and among the multiple SEA Games gold medallists featuring will be Indonesian Triady Fauzi Sidiq, Thai Natthanan Junkrajang and Viet Nguyen Thi Anh Vien.

Singapore will be without big names Joseph Schooling and Tao Li, but will still feature established swimmers such as SEA Games champions Amanda Lim and Samantha Yeo. The championships will also mark the final chance for swimmers to qualify for the Asian Games in Incheon in September, with 2010 Youth Olympics silver medallist Rainer Ng among those yet to meet the qualification mark.
