World and Olympic champion Chad le Clos kept up his unbeaten streak in the Fina/Mastbank Swimming World Cup series as he won both his races on day one of the Singapore leg at the OCBC Aquatic Centre on Saturday.

The South African star first won the 200m butterfly race, touching home in 1min 48.88sec. It was 0.32sec off his world-record time of 1:48.56 set in Singapore last year.

He followed that up with a win in the 50m fly, clocking 21.98sec. Germany's Steffen Deibler, who holds the event's world record time (21.80), was second with 22.56.

Hungary's Katinka Hosszu, the women's overall leader in the seven-leg World Cup series, finished the night with three golds and two silvers from seven events.
