TWO chef-de-missions have been appointed to lead Singapore at the 2015 SEA Games - marking the first time that more than one team leader has been chosen for the biennial competition.
Senior sports administrator Dr Tan Eng Liang, who is also vice-president of the Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC), will be joined by Nicholas Fang, a nominated MP and former president of the fencing association.
The move to appoint the duo was made in the anticipation that more support will be needed for a contingent that is expected to achieve the nation's best-ever Games result when it hosts the regional meet next year.
The previous best was achieved in 1993, when Singapore tallied 50 golds, 40 silvers, and 74 bronzes when it last hosted the Games.
