SEA Games: DPM Teo hosts luncheon for athletes amid sports carnival

Deputy Prime Minister Teo Chee Hean attended the Pasir Ris-Punggol GRC's annual sports carnival on Sunday, together with other MPs - Minister of State for Trade and Industry Teo Ser Luck, Mr Zainal Sapari and Dr Janil Puthucheary.

The event was attended by 1,600 kindergarten children with their families, and is aimed at providing an opportunities for families to bond and have play sports together.

Also in attendance were SEA Games athletes who live in the GRC, such as sailor Savannah Siew and basketballer Larry Liew.

DPM Teo said at the sidelines of the carnival: "I also hope that you will come and cheer them on during the SEA Games. Next time when you go to the SEA Games, you know who they are and you can identify with them and cheer even louder with them."

After the event, DPM Teo and the MPs hosted a luncheon for the athletes and their families.
