Registration for The Straits Times Run at the Hub, to be held on Sept 28, is now open.

Said Straits Times editor Warren Fernandez: "We are happy to be back with another ST Run this year, again at an interesting new location.

"The new Sports Hub will make this a memorable event for our readers who will enjoy being the first to complete their run inside the National Stadium."

The run is organised as part of the Straits Times Appreciates Readers programme to reach out to the community.

In partnership with OCBC Bank, OCBC credit-card holders will enjoy two days of priority registration before public sign-ups begin on Thursday.

OCBC card holders will also enjoy a 10 per cent discount on entrance fees. Participants can register at straitstimesrun.com from 6am today.

Said OCBC's head of group lifestyle financing Desmond Tan: "As the premier founding partner of the Singapore Sports Hub, we are delighted to be the official card partner of the ST Run at the Hub. With the community running past the OCBC Arena and OCBC Aquatic Centre and ending at the new National Stadium - it makes OCBC a natural partner."

The ST Run is also backed by the Sports Hub's official insurance partner Great Eastern, which will be providing event-day coverage for all participants.

Said Mr Keith Chia, head of customer marketing at Great Eastern Life: "Great Eastern has gone beyond the traditional role of a life insurance company to help the community live healthier and better.

"Our support for sports is integral to Great Eastern's DNA. We are delighted to be the insurance partner of the ST Run and bring sports closer to the community."

Isotonic drink 100PLUS will be renewing its partnership with the ST Run. It was the official isotonic drink of last year's ST Run in the Park and has backed other sports initiatives like the annual ST Athlete of the Year award.

Said Ms Jennifer See, general manager at F&N Foods: "Positioned as the hydration partner of choice for many marquee sports events on the local calendar, 100PLUS has established a year-round programme to support the dreams and aspirations of our consumers."
