Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has penned a personal letter to Navy serviceman Jason Chee, thanking him for his support of the football club. A picture of the London club's first team, complete with autographs, was also included.

In the letter, Wenger wrote: "I have recently been informed of your injury. I am very sorry to hear this and on behalf of everyone at Arsenal Football Club I send you best wishes. I have also been told that you are an avid Arsenal supporter. We are extremely grateful for this."

Chee, 31, posted pictures of the letter and picture on his Facebook page on Wednesday night, saying that he was very surprised upon receiving the package and could not believe it. He also wrote: "Wishing Arsenal Football (Club) every success! Hope to see my Arsenal Football (Club) visit Singapore one day!"

The navy serviceman is back at work, 18 months after losing his limbs in a work accident when he was caught between a berthing rope and a motorised winch on board warship RSS Endeavour at Changi Naval Base. He represented Singapore at the Para Asean Games in Myanmar last year and won a bronze medal.
