Former Indian cricket superstar Sachin Tendulkar will visit Singapore next month.

The batting great will be here on June 3 on the invitation of the Royal Bank of Scotland, and will be conducting a 'master class' with more than 20 young cricketers at the Singapore Cricket Club.

The 41-year-old enjoys god-like popularity across India and is often referred to as the 'God of cricket'. He retired from the game late last year, ending a stellar career spanning nearly a quarter of a century as the only batsman to score 100 international centuries in one-day cricket and Test matches.

Tendulkar's visit comes on the back of several stops made by top athletes recently, with footballers Rio Ferdinand and Sergio Aguero having visited just last week. Paul Scholes also visited earlier this year. Former Liverpool and Manchester United striker Michael Owen will also be visiting next month.
