Athletics: Suspended SAA vice-presidents reinstated after appeals board ruling

SINGAPORE Athletic Association's (SAA) suspended vice-presidents Loh Chan Pew and Steven Lee have been reinstated to their respective positions within the national athletics body on Tuesday, following the decision of an appeals committee.

The duo were earlier suspended by SAA president Tang Weng Fei, but an independent appeals board led by local sports administrator Low Teo Ping overturned that decision.

The committee added that the management committee's decision to suspend Loh and Lee was not "robust enough" in the process that led to their suspensions.

Said Tang: "On behalf of the SAA MC, I accept the decision of the appeals panel which will be final and binding. As I've said before, there is and never was any personal issues between Mr Loh, Mr Steven Lee and myself. I look forward to their contribution to SAA."
