Holland coach Louis van Gaal is set to be confirmed as Manchester United's boss next week, British media reported.

He will succeed the club's axed manager David Moyes, and is understood to have agreed to a two-year deal with the option of a further 12 months, reported the Daily Mirror.

The Reds are poised to announce his appointment after their final home game of the season against Hull next Tuesday, leaving Van Gaal free to focus on Holland’s World Cup campaign.

According to unconfirmed reports, Patrick Kluivert, Van Gaal’s assistant in the international team, has also agreed to join him at Old Trafford.
