Former Singapore football team captain Lee Kok Seng died yesterday from pneumonia.
The 81-year-old, who skippered the Malaysia Cup-winning Singapore side of 1965, died at the Singapore General Hospital, where he had been warded since mid-August.
The 1965 win was Singapore's first Malaysia Cup win after gaining independence.
The defender won the Malaysia Cup four times before retiring in 1965.
Lee leaves behind three children - sons Ivan (55 years old) and Vincent (48), and daughter Serene (50).
