Football: Uninspired LionsXII draw 0-0 against Sarawak at Jalan Besar

The LionsXII put in another uninspired performance on Saturday evening as they were held to a 0-0 by Sarawak in a Malaysian Super League (MSL) clash at the Jalan Besar Stadium.

In a match where scoring opportunities were few and far between, attacking midfielder Gabriel Quak had the hosts' best chance but his first-minute volley was cleared off the line by defender Ronny Harun.

LionsXII skipper Safuwan Baharudin then saw his header come back off the crossbar on the stroke of half time as Fandi Ahmad's side continued to struggle in front of goal.

Now playing for pride, with the defence of their MSL title over, the LionsXII next travel to Shah Alam, where they will face bottom-of-the-table PKNS FC on Tuesday.
