AFF Suzuki Cup football holders and co-hosts Singapore have been drawn to face Malaysia, three-time champions Thailand and the qualifying group winners in a slightly tougher Group B of this year's tournament.
Group A comprises the other co-hosts Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia and the qualifying group runners-up.
Timor Leste, Brunei, Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar will contest the qualifying round, according to the draw in Hanoi yesterday.
Singapore have won the Asean title four times, the most of any country.
The top two sides in the group stage will qualify for the two-legged semi-finals.
