MADRID (AFP) - Costa Rica goalkeeper Keylor Navas, one of the stars of this year’s World Cup, has completed his move to Real Madrid from Levante, the European champions announced on Sunday evening.

“Real Madrid CF and Levante UD have reached an agreement for the transfer of Keylor Navas, who will be contracted to the club for the next six years,” read a statement on Madrid’s website.

The Spanish capital club added that Navas, 27, will be presented at their Santiago Bernabeu stadium on Tuesday afternoon after undergoing a medical.

Sports daily Marca, which is closely linked to Madrid, reported that the club have paid the 10 million euro (S$16.7 million) release clause in Navas’ contract.
