Football: No Liverpool offer for Can, says Leverkusen's Voeller

BERLIN (AFP) - Liverpool have yet to table an official offer for Emre Can, the Germany Under-21 midfielder's club Bayer Leverkusen said on Thursday.
Reports in the British media suggest that the Premier League runners-up are on the verge of a 10-million-pound (S$21.2 million) deal to bring him to Anfield for next season.
But Bayer's director of sport Rudi Voeller said the club had heard nothing from the Reds about the versatile 20-year-old, who enjoyed an impressive first season at Leverkusen after signing from Bayern Munich.
"We know they are interested, but we have not been presented with anything officially," the former international told German daily Bild.
