RIO DE JANEIRO (AFP) - Former world player of the year Kaka earned a recall to the Brazil national football team, and will visit Singapore on Oct 14 for the international friendly against Japan at the new National Stadium.

Brazil coach Dunga drafted the former AC Milan and Real Madrid playmaker into his squad after Cruzeiro forward Ricardo Goulart pulled out through injury.

Kaka, the 2007 world player of the year, returns 18 months after his last appearance for Brazil, having missed out on the World Cup under Dunga'ss predecessor Luiz Felipe Scolari.

The 32-year-old has not featured for the Selecao since March 2013, when Scolari included him in his squad for friendlies against Russia and Italy.

Kaka is currently on loan with Sao Paulo and will next year play for Major League Soccer side Orlando.

Brazil will be in Asia next week for a two-match tour which sees the five-time world champions take on World Cup finalists Argentina in Beijing on October 11 and Japan in Singapore three days later.
