PORTLAND (AFP) - Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge could miss up to two months of the 2014-15 National Basketball Association season with a thumb injury, the team announced on Thursday.
The 29-year-old was injured in Monday's victory over Sacramento and then missed Wednesday's loss to Phoenix. Doctors said he suffered a torn ligament in his left thumb, which will require surgery.
Aldridge was likely headed to his fourth straight All-Star game this season after averaging 23.2 points and 10.2 rebounds over 38 games.
