PHOENIX, ARIZONA (Reuters) - Zach Randolph scored a season-high 32 points and collected nine rebounds as the Memphis Grizzlies beat the Phoenix Suns 97-91 on Monday to seal the eighth and final play-off spot in the National Basketball Association Western Conference. The win also eliminated the Suns from play-off contention.
In a tight game down the stretch, point guard Mike Conley put Memphis ahead to stay at 93-91 on a three-pointer with 1min 8sec left. The Suns failed to score another point to slump to defeat.
Markieff Morris scored 21 points off the bench for the Suns (47-34), who will miss the play-offs for a fourth straight season.
