Transport Minister Lui Tuck Yew will travel to Europe from Tuesday to Friday for the International Transport Forum Annual Summit.

His first stop will be in Leipzig, Germany, where he will meet and exchange views on transport development with his counterparts from other countries. He will also discuss opportunities for enhanced transport cooperation between Singapore and other states, and also between Asean and other regions.

Next, he will visit Warsaw, where he will sign an Open Skies Agreement with Polish deputy prime minister and minister of infrastructure and development Elzbieta Bienkowska. Under the agreement, designated airlines from both sides will be able to fly via and beyond both countries to any third country, without restrictions on capacity, frequency, or aircraft type.
