SINGAPORE - Train services have resumed on the North-East Line between Sengkang and Buangkok stations, but remain suspended between Sengkang and Punggol stations.
Commuters were left stranded along the North-East Line after train services were suspended in the early hours of the morning.
At about 7am, SBS Transit said that train services between Punggol and Buangkok were halted due to a power fault.
Free bus rides were available at designated bus stops while shuttle buses were also activated.
At about 8.40am, train services were resumed between Sengkang and Buangkok stations.
But train services between Buangkok and Punggol stations are still suspended.
SBS Transit said that they are continuing to give free bus rides at the designated bus stops.
The company also apologised for the inconvenience caused to commuters.
