SINGAPORE - Commuters at City Hall, Orchard and Raffles Place - three of Singapore's busiest MRT stations - will enjoy free Wi-Fi access at platform level from August 22, the Land Transport Authority (LTA) announced on Monday.
Platforms at another 21 stations, including all those on the North-East Line, will also get Wi-Fi access progressively over the next nine months. Posters and stickers will be displayed at stations to indicate that the platforms are Wi-Fi-connected.
The Infocomm Development Authority will arrange for officers to be on hand during the roll-out to help commuters connect to the free Wireless@SG service.
To get access, users can register with the four telcos either online or at their customer service centres. The four operators are M1, Singtel, Starhub and Y5Zone.
