SINGAPORE - A year after pulling the plug on the Perth-Singapore route, Australia's Qantas will resume flying this route from June 26.

The airline will operate five return Boeing 737 flights a week, offering a total of almost 1,700 seats a week.

To celebrate the relaunch, Qantas is offering special return fares starting from S$380, the airline said on Friday.

Qantas International chief executive officer Gareth Evans said: "We know how important it is for West Australian business travellers to have seamless access to Asia, so we're delighted to be able to offer the Perth-Singapore route with a schedule and aircraft type that will make it commercially viable."

Since ending its regular Perth to Singapore service in May last year, Qantas has operated seasonal services between the two cities during peak holiday periods.
