LTA calls tender for high-speed rail feasibility study

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) has called for a tender for parties to study possible corridors for the Singapore leg of the proposed high-speed rail link between Kuala Lumpur and the Republic.
It did so on Friday, just days after the prime ministers of both countries reiterated their intention to build the project - the first of its kind in South-east Asia.
The LTA said the study will include technical assessment of the alignment, as well as the connectivity, of the three possible locations for the line's terminal station in Singapore.
The three possible locations cited are Tuas West, Jurong East and the city centre.
