SINGAPORE - Four adults and a toddler were taken to hospital on Saturday afternoon after they were injured in a 14-vehicle pile-up on the Pan Island Expressway (PIE).
The accident occurred at about 2.30pm on the PIE towards Changi Airport, after Paya Lebar Road.
Three ambulances were sent to the crash site. Two men and two women were taken to Changi General Hospital while a two-year-old girl was taken to KK Women's and Children's Hospital. They were all conscious, a spokesman for the Singapore Civil Defence Force said.
The crash caused a three-hour jam and tailbacks up to 8km long on the highway, with much of the traffic coming to a standstill.
It is not known what caused the accident but police are investigating.
