SINGAPORE - Changi Airport handled 4.58 million passengers in July, 1 per cent more than a year ago.

For the first time since January, passenger demand to and from China also increased, Changi Airport Group said on Friday.

Thailand's political instability continued to impact traffic between the two countries which dipped by 12 per cent year-on-year, the ninth consecutive month of decline.

Between January and July, Changi Airport handled 31.8 million passengers, 1.3 per cent more than during the same seven months last year. The number of take-offs and landings grew by 2.1 per cent to 199,900.
