SINGAPORE - More than 900 students learnt about water conservation through games at the fifth Singapore International Water Festival at the Marina Barrage on Saturday morning.

Organised by Singapore Polytechnic and the PUB, the festival saw secondary school and SP students undergo challenges like building a bridge with limited resources and removing waste items from a "lake" to foster a stronger sense of ownership towards water conservation.

The festival, in support of Singapore International Water Week, also featured an art competition, carnival stalls and a dragon boat race, which was flagged off by the guest of honour, Minister for the Environment and Water Resources Vivian Balakrishnan.
