SINGAPORE - West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee called on Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong at the Istana today.
Accompanied by senior West Bengal government officials, she is on a five-day official visit at the invitation of Singapore's Minister for Foreign Affairs and Law K Shanmugam. She is seeking foreign investment to her east Indian state.
On Wednesday, Ms Banerjee will deliver a keynote address at the West Bengal Business Forum, where she is the guest of honour.
The forum is organised by the Singapore Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry in partnership with IE Singapore, the Confederation of Indian Industry and the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
