Forgive each other please, urged Ms Germaine Ng as she bade farewell to her mother and grandmother.

Two days after her feuding loved ones died in their Ang Mo Kio Avenue 4 flat, the 17-year-old sent them off with a message to "forget everything".

"Hopefully, they will rest in peace and not worry anymore," said the Nanyang Polytechnic student at the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes yesterday.

More than 80 family members and friends joined Ms Ng in bidding a solemn farewell to her mother, Madam Andrea Tay, and her grandmother, Madam Rosaline Lim.

The body of Madam Lim, 75, was found by the police at her flat on Wednesday morning.

Her daughter, Madam Tay, 51, was later found dead at the foot of their block of flats. It is believed she fell from the kitchen window.

Neighbours said rows between the pair were common and loud.

During the double funeral at the church, a pastor performed rites while attendees sang hymns.

Members from Church of Christ the King, which Madam Lim attended, expressed their deep sadness to The Straits Times.

One member, who declined to be named, said: "Rosaline was such a gentle and quiet soul. I still cannot believe that she is gone."

A family friend who knew Madam Tay said: "She was a woman who always had a kind smile. She worked very hard to support herself and her daughter."

After the service, a smaller group of about 40 people went to Mandai Columbarium where they prepared for the pair's final send-off.

There, Ms Ng said: "Don't worry about me. I'll continue to be happy. I'll always remember you all."
