Students celebrate Kindness Day SG on the last day of Term 2

SINGAPORE - Schools here took part in various activities to encourage acts of kindness on Friday, as part of Kindness Day SG celebrations.

Kindness Day SG, organised by the Singapore Kindness Movement, falls on the last day of Term 2.

All schools, from primary to pre-university level, were given teaching resources earlier this month so that students could spread a message of kindness throughout the June holidays.

These include a board game, scrapbook activities, and postcards where they can write encouraging messages to others.

Education Minister Heng Swee Keat launched Kindness Day SG at West View Primary.

On Friday evening, a concert featuring performances by local artistes such as Hossan Leong and Lorraine Tan will also be held at music venue Shanghai Dolly in Clarke Quay, to mark the day. Tampines GRC MP Baey Yam Keng will be guest of honour at the event.
