SINGAPORE - StarHub has confirmed that there are issues with its 3G voice network. Since about 10am this morning, customers have complained about being unable to make outgoing calls.

"The intermittent 3G outgoing voice call issue, which temporarily affected some customers in certain western and central areas, is being progressively restored," StarHub said in a statement.

Many customers complained about the inconvenience on the company's Facebook page.

StarHub customer Mahesh A Mahesh, 45, was one of them. He tried to make an outgoing call at 10am this morning but was unable to do so. "I tried to reset my iPhone a few times and also tried to place calls from my other Starhub phone. Both were not able to make outgoing calls," he said.

StarHub said that customers who wanted to make outgoing calls could manually switch to 2G networks on their phones.

"We are working towards full resolution for customers as quickly as possible," the telco said.

StarHub said that it was in the midst of informing customers about the issue through social media. Customers who called the StarHub hotline reporting mobile issues would also be informed about the problem, the telco said.
