HO CHI MINH - Singapore shuttlers competing at the Yonex Sunrise Vietnam GP Open are safe after the ceiling collapsed at the venue this week.

Manpower Minister Tan Chuan-Jin posted a video of the incident on his Instagram account on Wednesday with the caption "Ceiling collapse in badminton tournament in Ho Chi Minh City. All our shuttlers safe".

A portion of the roof of the sports hall at the Phan Dinh Phung Stadium collapsed this week during the badminton tournament, but no one was believed to be injured. Athletes were reported to have been alerted to the impending danger and cleared the court.

Videos showing the collapse were posted on social media.
